The Engine Control Module regulates the HPDI System, to ensure superior power, fuel economy and reliability. Here's how HPDI works. Six sophisticated sensors help the microcomputer optimize ignition timing and air/fuel mixture. Fuel is drawn through the fuel pump and vapor separator, then pressurized by the high-speed fuel pump to 700psi and sent into the fuel rails. Proven and reliable internal-opening fuel injectors inject the precise amount of fuel to each individual cylinder in a nearly-atomized state, enhancing fuel distribution in the combustion chamber for maximum power and greater fuel economy.

	The Z200 2.6L HPDI features a 76° V-block design which is compact and provides added torque for greater acceleration.
	Triple Binnacle Control - Now you can have single, dual or triple binnacle controls with Yamaha’s proven, smooth-shifting functionality and sleek new ergonomic design.
	Special Ion-Plated Top Piston Ring enhances durability and helps prevent oil from entering the combustion chamber (the combustion chamber gets oil from the air and it is completely burned during combustion). The oil bypass groove on the bottom piston ring delivers the precise amount of oil to the top ring and upper cylinder wall for even greater reliability.
	Special Heat Treated Crankshaft, Connecting Rods and Gears enhance durability for long term engine life.
	The High Output Alternator delivers an incredible 30 amps of charging power at 1,000 rpm, up to a full 45 amps from approximately 3500 rpm and beyond.  That means plenty of charging power, even after prolonged idling or using multiple electronics while trolling at low rpm’s.
	New Larger Engine Anodes increase corrosion protection.
	Fuel is routed through a an engine-mounted water-separating fuel filter, a vapor separator tank, a high-speed fuel pump and fuel rails, then delivered through 6 individual internal opening fuel injectors.
	Strong, Forged Pistons add durability. Aluminum alloys are compressed in molds under extreme pressure, resulting in a much stronger piston.
	Six Individual Fuel Injectors open internally, enhancing fuel distribution and reducing the chance of carbon build-up.
	Yamaha's ACP-221 Paint Process provides a 5-layer barrier against corrosion.
	Stainless Steel is used for the drive shaft, the shift shaft, the prop shaft, and the steering tube for maximum corrosion resistance and long-term reliability.
	Front-Mounted Freshwater Flushing device makes it easy to completely flush the engine, in the slip or on the trailer, and without running the engine.
	Our exclusive YDC-30 Alloy is the most corrosion-resistant base material in the industry.
