High Thrust Four Stroke Series

SOMETIMES GETTING THERE REQUIRES A LITTLE EXTRA PUSH
POWERING A HEAVY PONTOON OR SAILBOAT ISN'T ABOUT SPEED. It's about muscle. Which is why we created the High Thrust outboard in the first place. Yamaha's pushy four strokes deliver twice the thrust of a comparable two stroke in the 2,000-3,000 rpm range - with better thrust, higher top-end speed and lower sound levels than the wanna-be's. The T50 and T60 have EFI for enhanced throttle response and power. And our dream-kicker T8 is now joined by the new T9.9, one of the smallest and lightest in its class.
- VERSATILITY. The large-diameter, low-pitch, Dual Thrust™ Propellers (optional on T50/T60, standard on T8/T9.9) are designed for Yamaha's High Thrust outboards. Add in the High Thrust's higher gear ratio, and you can see why these powerhouses are ideal for any application where you need an extra measure of muscle.
- MORE THRUST, BOTH FORWARD AND REVERSE. Yamaha's Dual Thrust™ Propellers are designed to redirect the exhaust flow away, reducing cavitation while increasing thrust up to 70% in reverse and 60% in forward. On the T50 and T60, electronic fuel injection provides enhanced throttle response and power delivery.
- EASY, FINGERTIP CONTROL. The optional Multi-Function Tiller Handle has exceptional shift lever ergonomics for easy shifting. The rubber throttle handle provides a better grip, with less rotation needed to go from idle to wide-open throttle (T50/T60).
- THE NEW F9.9 has been redesigned for compactness and ease of use. It's up to 12% lighter than the old T9.9.
